Healthcare Brands Group strengthens position in natural personal care and baby care with acquisition of Orange-Sheep
Healthcare Brands Group (HBG), a fast-growing platform of leading brands in health, wellness-led nutrition, and personal care, announces the acquisition of Orange-Sheep, the owner of the natural care brand Happy Earth and distribution partner of WaterWipes in the Netherlands.
With this acquisition, HBG strengthens its position in the rapidly growing markets for natural personal care and baby care, taking the group a step further in its buy-and-build strategy aimed at building a leading European brand platform in health and personal care.
In recent years, Orange-Sheep has developed into one of the fastest-growing players in natural and sustainable care products in the Benelux. The company has achieved consistent double-digit revenue growth over the past three years and expects to generate revenue between €10 million and €15 million by 2026.
The company has successfully built Happy Earth, a rapidly growing brand with a distinctive positioning in natural ingredients, sustainability, and affordable innovations. Both brands have a strong presence in key retail channels, including Kruidvat, Etos, Albert Heijn, Superunie affiliated formulas, and various leading online marketplaces.
HBG sees significant opportunities to further accelerate the growth of both brands. The combination of strong brands, entrepreneurship, and commercial strength creates a powerful platform for further value creation.
Karel van Wieren, CEO of Healthcare Brands Group, says:
"Happy Earth and WaterWipes are strong brands with a distinctive position in key categories. The entrepreneurs behind Orange-Sheep have built a powerful company with a clear focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability. This acquisition fits perfectly within our strategy to build a leading brand portfolio in premium, specialized, and natural segments within health & personal care. We look forward to shaping the next growth phase of the brands together with the team."
Martijn Bruijning and Niels Brouwer, founders of Orange-Sheep, say:
"When choosing a new partner, we looked for an organization that shares our vision of sustainable growth and strong brand development. In Healthcare Brands Group, we have found a partner with the expertise, scale, and commercial strength to further grow our brands. We look forward to the collaboration and have great confidence in the future development of Happy Earth and WaterWipes within the group."
The founders of Orange-Sheep will remain involved in the company to support the integration of the team and activities, and to jointly continue building on the growth of the organization and its brands. For customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, operations will continue unchanged.
